My abstract pieces are both a representation of what I see around me as well as the literal experimentation of light. The images represent the part of me that can’t see past the difficult obstacles ahead of me. I am literally behind the rays of light which is so hard to go through at times. Sometimes I have to remind myself that even with a little burst of perseverance, anything can be possible. I felt I needed to play with movement and light because that is what I see on a daily basis. I worry that perhaps with slower movement, we might never be able to accomplish the things we so desperately desire. My experimentation of these lights lead to what you see as well as the obstacles I face on an everyday basis.
